A new coffee shop, Vida, has opened its doors in West Allis on the first floor of 1205 S. 70th St. A group of Marquette University students opened the store as part of the Blue and Gold Ventures program — a business management program which gives students hands-on job experience.

Vida will sell its own coffee, in drinks and wholesale, sourced directly from the Dominican Republic. The store had its grand opening on December 2 and is open Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
