The open-air West Allis Farmers Market brings the area’s best local vendors and entertainers to one vibrant location for events. Enjoy quality handmade crafts, homegrown produce, live music, and so much more at these authentically-West-Allis events!

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to effect us, we will continue to work with West Allis Health Department to evaluate and modify our event offerings for the safety of vendors and guests. Save the dates for these 2023 events (Please note events are subject to change):

Book Discussion – Wisconsin Field to Fork: Farm Fresh Recipes from the Dairy State by Lori Fredrich
Saturday, October 7 from 1-2 p.m.
Join Lori Fredrich, author of “Wisconsin Field to Fork: Farm Fresh Recipes from the Dairy State” for a book discussion, book signing, and cooking demonstration. Lori will discuss the importance of locally sourced food, farmers markets, and her new book. Following the discussion, Chef Thi Cao of Wild Roots, who has a recipe in the book, will do a cooking demonstration featuring local ingredients. The book also highlights Jerry’s Produce as a featured farmer, who will be selling local produce at the Market. After the discussion, stick around for live music from Kevin Mulvenna from 2-5 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Books will be available to purchase on site (cash or credit).

Trick-Or-Treat at the Farmers Market
Tuesday, October 31 from 12-3 p.m.
Looking for another opportunity to get candy? Head to the West Allis Farmers Market on Tuesday, October 31 from 12-3 p.m. for a spooktacular day! Select vendors will give out candy to the little ghouls and goblins (12 years old or younger) in costume while supplies last.

Christkindlmarkt
Friday, December 1 from 4-9 p.m. and Saturday, December 2 from 12-4 p.m.

Stop by the 6th annual Christkindlmarkt, a traditional European-style Christmas market featuring over 50 vendors. Includes Wisconsin Specialty food retailers and artisan craft vendors. Enjoy live music as well as a variety of local food trucks and beer from local breweries.

Makers Market – June 2024

Join us at the West Allis Maker’s Market presented by Oniomania on Wednesday, June 28 from 4 – 9 p.m. at the West Allis Farmers Market, 6501 W. National Ave. Admission is free! This is your chance to support Wisconsin makers and enjoy a one-of-a-kind, local shopping experience in addition to food trucks, craft beer, and live music! We’ve booked over 50 Wisconsin artisans crafters and specialty food producers for an unforgettable evening of outdoor shopping featuring arts, jewelry, pottery, candles, soaps, specialty foods, and more!

West Allis Night Out – July 2024

Join us at the West Allis Farmers Market for West Allis Night Out, a family-friendly event hosted by the West Allis Police Department, and sponsored by Aurora Health Care. This year will feature music, face painting, inflatable attractions, a dunk tank, color contests, food trucks, a health fair coordinated by Aurora West Allis Medical Center, K9 and SWAT demonstrations, a bike helmet giveaway sponsored by Gruber Law Offices, carnival games provided by WAWM Recreation Department, a hose challenge, Jaws of Life demonstration, and more!

Neighborhood Block Parties will take place. A police officer, McGruff the Crime Dog, and the West Allis Fire Department will be out and about visiting West Allis Night Out block parties. If you would like to reserve barricades or arrange a McGruff and Fire Department visit, register your block party at WestAllisWI.gov/SpecialEvents.

Food Truck Fridays – June through September 2024
Celebrate summer with Food Truck Fridays at the West Allis Farmers Market from 5 – 8 p.m.! Milwaukee’s best food trucks will gather at the Market for a fun, outdoor dining experience featuring appetizers, main dishes, desserts, craft beer from Ope! Brewing Co. and Perspective Brewing, family activities, and live music from local musicians. Admission is FREE!

Pawtoberfest
Sunday, September 24 from 12-4 p.m.

Enjoy beer from Ope! Brewing Co., food trucks, shop at pet-related vendors, get to know local non-profits, and partake in pet-friendly activities! Also enter for your chance to win a pet-centered raffle basket. To kick off the afternoon of fun, there will be a pet blessing at 12:00 pm. Pet BINGO will be played three times throughout the afternoon (for a fee). There will be paw painting available though JR’s Pups-N-Stuff, Inc., and peanut butter painting available through Crafts to Memories. A photo station will be available for a cute photo-op of your pup! Also, there will be a stage demonstration by the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s K9 Unit!
