Station No. 06, a beer garden/cocktail bar/coffeehouse hybrid, is open in a newly busy area of West Allis.

It opened last week at 6800 W. Becher St. in a former car repair shop. The owner is Mark Lutz, who operates West Allis Cheese & Sausage Shoppe next door and in Milwaukee’s Third Ward.

“We like to think West Allis is going through a little resurgence and renaissance,” Lutz said, so he wanted to open what he called an alternative drinking environment.
